It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Kenneth James Benfield (Granite Falls, North Carolina), who passed away on April 10, 2020, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Tate Cummins and Ruth Jane Smith Benfield; and his siblings, Roger Benfield and Helen Alley. He is survived by: his wife Kitty L. Conley Benfield; his children, Gregory L. Benfield (Nancy) of Lenoir, Michael D. Benfield (Nancy) of Lenoir, Jason T. Benfield (Deborah) of Granite Falls, Vernon "Chaun" Benfield (Pamela) of Granite Falls and Anita Baker (Quentin) of Lenoir; his stepdaughter Sonya Gragg of Lenoir; and his siblings, Bill Benfield of Lenoir, Dean Benfield of Lenoir and Loretta Hucks (Don) of South Carolina.
Due to COVID-19 graveside services will be private.
