John Wayne Laney Sr. Obituary
We are sad to announce that on February 18, 2021, at the age of 80, John Wayne Laney Sr. of Granite Falls, North Carolina passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, John Phillip and Mamie Hartley Laney; and his children, Martha Cornett and Eddie Laney. He is survived by: his children, John Laney, Jr. (Lucille), Wanda Laney and Brenda Webb; his siblings, Benny Laney (Silvia) of Hudson and Vivian Bare of Lenoir; and his grandchildren, Shane Laney (Summer), Bradley Laney, Heather Link, Jeremy Davis, Christopher Sipes, Phillip Henry, Michael Church, Jessica Church and Christianna Spink. He is also survived by 19 great-grandchildren; and one niece and one nephew.
Due to COVID-19 no services are planned at this time.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Caldwell Hospice and Palliative Care, 902 Kirkwood Street, NW, Lenoir, North Carolina 28645.
