He was predeceased by: his father John Walter, Sr.; and his sisters, Veronica and Linda. He is survived by: his wife Lynda Kraemer Walter; his sons, Glenn Walter (Patti) of Hickory, Craig Walter (Jen) of Hickory and Scott Walter of Granite Falls; his grandchildren, Mikayla Walter, Alexis Davis, Gabi McIntire, Andrew McIntire and Rylee Walter; and his brother James Walter (Sue) of Long Beach, NY. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
