He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert "Ruben" Daniel Crump, Sr. and Virginia Dare Greene Crump; his son Daniel Crump; and his brothers, Ronnie Crump, Gene Crump and Lewis Crump.
He is survived by: his daughters, Rebecca Buchanan (Austin) of Granite Falls and Sara Wallace (Eric) of Tennessee; his sisters, Brenda Argo and Wilma Crisp of Lenoir; and his grandchildren, Summer Byrd, Trey Crisp, Andrew Greene and Lindsey Greene.
