He was predeceased by: his wife Mary Carolyn Bean Sullivan; his brothers, Thomas Lee Sullivan and Kenneth Sullivan; his grandson Robbie Sullivan; and his sons-in-law, Jesse W. Powell and Jimmy Tolson.
He is survived by: his children, Sandra Tolson, Gwen Powell, Robert Sullivan (Deborah) and Paul Sullivan (Beth); and his siblings, Carrol Sullivan of Morganton, Winona Mace of Greenville, SC, Marcus Sullivan (Marlene) of Hudson, Betty Jane Pennell of Mooresville and Johnny Sullivan (Katrina) of Monroe.
