He was predeceased by: his parents, Vincenzo Sanniota and Assunta Borromeo Sanniota; and his brothers, Gaetano and Roberto Sanniota. He is survived by: his wife Prima Chavez Sanniota; his children, Dino, Mario, Gino Sanniota, Teresa and Mary Sannoita; and his siblings, Maria Starnes, Victorio and Renato Sanniota. He is also survived by three grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
