He was predeceased by: his parents, George Elisha Starnes and Dewey Blanche Teague Starnes; his wife Jeanette Goble Starnes; and his siblings, Henry Starnes, Dot Riggan and Sue Wentz.
He is survived by: his children, Chris Starnes (Margie) of Granite Falls, Sharyn Shore (Tom) of England and Karen Wallace of Granite Falls; his grandchildren, James Starnes, Caitlin Frank (Hayden), Taylor Bell (Matthew), Samuel Wallace and Benjamin Wallace; and his great grandchildren, Amberly Bell, Elara Bell and Delilah Bell.
