He was predeceased by: his parents, Albert Dennis Teague and Lois Robinson Teague; his daughter Sharon Teague Whisnant; his son-in-law J. Terry Whisnant; and his grandson Ryan Andrew.
He is survived by: his wife Sylvia Moretz Teague; his son G. Nelson Teague (Amy) of Hickory; his brother William "Bill" Teague of Hickory; and his grandchildren, Jeremy Whisnant (Amy Whisnant) and Morgan Whisnant.
