With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Fred Allen Sigmon Sr. of Granite Falls, North Carolina, born in Alexander, North Carolina, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on September 24, 2024 at the age of 82. He was predeceased by: his parents, Conley Sigmon and Rosa Lee Bowman Sigmon; his wife Shirley Merline Shull; and his sister Shelby Payne. He is survived by: his son Freddie A. Sigmon (Karen Parsons) of Granite Falls; his pet Cledus; his siblings, Cecil Sigmon, Larry Sigmon and Doris Flanagan; his sister-in-law Sue Ryder; and his nephew Tim Ryder. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
