He was predeceased by: his parents, Gamewell Kirby and Bertha Mae McRary Kirby. He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Yount Kirby; his sons, Terry Kirby (Susan) of Granite Falls and Jeff Kirby (Loni) of Granite Falls; his grandchildren, Koty Kirby, Trevor Kirby and Trent Kirby; and his sister Nancy Kirby Lench of Burlington, NC. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
