With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Eddie Mal Sigmon (Granite Falls, North Carolina), born in Catawba, North Carolina, who passed away on September 27, 2022 at the age of 79. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his father Mal Pinkney Sigmon. He is survived by: his parents-in-law, Dalthard L. Sigmon "Jim" and Hazel Lail Sigmon; his niece Nancy "Denise" Huffman; his great-niece Karlee Bumgarner; his wife Doris Sigmon Sigmon; his children, Jeanna Sigmon Anderson (Kent) and Mitchell Sigmon (Molly Bass); his grandchildren, McKenzie Anderson of New York City, Morgan Anderson of Granite Falls, Jackson Sigmon and Gettys Sigmon of Hickory; his sisters, Nancy Huffman of Hickory, Martha Drum (Ken Johnson) of Conover and Susan Sigmon (Chip Shelby) of Pittsboro; and his siblings-in-law, Jan Sigmon, Steve L. Sigmon and Patty Thompson. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to be given to the Building Fund of St. Stephens Lutheran Church, 2304 Springs Road, Hickory, NC 28601.
