He was predeceased by: his father Michael Kusnerak; his wife Diane Denise Travis Kusnerak; and his siblings, Kenny, John Smith, Sherry Betts and Susan Knotts.
He is survived by: his mother Ruey Bender Gould; his children, Daniel Paul Kusnerak of Newton, NC, Michael "Mike" Paul Kusnerak of Emerald Island, NC and Leanna Denise Beam of Claremont, NC; and his siblings, Walter Smith of Lenoir, NC, Stanley Gould, Cynthia Jones and Linda Smith of Hickory. He is also survived by two grandchildren; and a number of nieces and nephews.
