She was predeceased by: her father Buford Lambert. She is survived by: her husband Danny Hayes; her son Martin "Marty" Hayes (Stacey) of Granite Falls; and her siblings, Darrell Lambert (Marilyn) of Morganton and Christy Ingersoll (Tom) of Valdese. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
