She was predeceased by: her parents, William Martin and Ella Mae McCall Martin; her husband Joe Thompson Sr.; her former husband Junior Bumgarner; and her siblings, Daniel, Stewart, Rex, Bill, Randy, Sylvia Woodie and Betty Wilkie.
She is survived by: her children, Roxanne Barr of Conover, Darrell Bumgarner (Flo) of Claremont, Joe Thompson (Jessica) of Hickory and Thomas Thompson of Hickory; her brother Bruce Martin of Hickory; her grandchildren, Cody Bumgarner, Shane Bumgarner, Meghan Bumgarner, John David Eller, J. T. Thompson and Jenna Thompson; and her great grandchildren, Connor Bumgarner and Carson Bumgarner.
