He was predeceased by: his parents, John David Illig and Hildreth Batchelder Illig; and his wife Dorothy. He is survived by: his daughters, Gretchen Illig McGregor (Andy) and Kathryn Illig Herman (Dixon); his siblings, Eve Illig Ardia and R. Wally Oyler (Nancy); and his grandchildren, Caroline F. McGregor and J. Boone Herman. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that memorial contributions be made to Conover Nursing & Rehabilitation Center as they were great caregivers and a blessing to our family. Keep Dean's legacy alive by donating to a charity in need.
