He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Rufus Clampitt and Kathryn Bolick Clampitt; and his brother Richard Clampitt. He is survived by: his wife Regina Clampitt; his children, Jeff Clampitt (Sharon) of Granite Falls, Kathy Houston of Lincolnton, Nannette Cline (Ricky) of Taylorsville, Melinda Sorensen (Ken) of Granite Falls and Michelle Little of Taylorsville; and his grandchildren, Amber Hullette (Derek), Dana Powell (Daniel), Jessica Clampitt, Caleb Cline (Tasha), Jordan Duncan (Brandon), Samantha Honeycutt (Justin), Reagan Faulkner (Justin) and Carly Sorensen. He is also survived by eight great-grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
