David Allen Walker Jr. Obituary
David Allen Walker Jr., 42, of Granite Falls passed away on Tuesday, April 13, 2021 at his residence.
He was born June 20, 1978 in Catawba County to David Allen Walker Sr. and the late Joyce Austin Beam. David was a member of St. Peter's Lutheran Church in Conover and a United States Navy veteran. He was employed with Baxter Healthcare in the maintenance department. David loved rock crawling, live music, welding, fishing, metal fabrication and his favorite thing to do was make everyone laugh.
In addition to his mother, he was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, John Marvin Walker.

A service to celebrate Davids's life will be held on Saturday, April 17, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. in the Chapel of Bennett Funeral Service, 7878 NC Hwy 16, Newton, NC 28658. Rev. Chuck Bryant will officiate. Burial with military honors by American Legion Post 544 will follow at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens in Hickory. The family will receive friends prior to the service from 9:30 to 10:45 a.m. at Bennett Funeral Service in Newton. Those serving as pallbearers are; David Clontz, Andy Freeman, Christina Walker, Scott Starnes, Justin Walker and Trevor Hill. Joshua Stacey will serve as honorary pallbearer.
