He is survived by: his wife Glenna Hayes; his children, Annette Hayes Penley of Granite Falls, Marty Hayes of Myrtle Beach, Terry Hayes Greene (Mitchell) of Granite Falls and Sherry Hayes (Joseph Mulloy) of Granite Falls; and his stepsons, Sydney Willis of Granite Falls and Jim Hannah. He is also survived by twelve grandchildren and 22 great-grandchildren.
