She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence Watson and Gladys Cozart Watson; her son Ed Canter; and her great grandchildren, Savanna Greene and Jasper McCullough.

She is survived by: her daughters, Cathy McCullough of Connelly Springs, Renita Ritchie (Chuck) of Connelly Springs and Renee Pardue (Curtis) of Hickory; her daughter-in-law Martha Canter of Hickory; and her siblings, Reba Watson of Lenoir, Lana Roland of Granite Falls and Ed Watson of Lenoir. She is also survived by her eight grandchildren, seventeen great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.
