She was predeceased by: her parents, John Lee Lingerfelt and Jamie Auton Lingerfelt; her husband Warren Doffice Helton; her daughter Sandra Helton Townsend; her son-in-law Jeff Townsend; and her brothers, Johnny Lingerfelt and Paul Lingerfelt.
She is survived by: her children, Dannie Helton (Rita) of Granite Falls, Dwight Helton (Donna) of Hudson and Dwayne Helton (Pam) of Connelly Springs; and her siblings, Roy Lingerfelt (Deana), Kenneth Lingerfelt (Joyce), Benny Ray Lingerfelt (Margie) and Barbara Lingerfelt Bowen. She is also survived by 8 grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Visitation was held on Sunday, December 8th 2024 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Mackie Funeral Service (35 Duke St, Granite Falls, NC 28630). A funeral service was held on Monday, December 9th 2024 at 1:00 PM at the same location.
