He was predeceased by: his parents, Jesse James Houser and Lillie Mae Shankles Houser; and his brothers, James Laverne Houser and Charles Houser. He is survived by: his wife Kimberly Triplett Houser; his stepchildren, Angela Greene (Jacob) of Lenoir, Shannon Scovern (Tim) of Icard and Shane Triplett of Georgia; and his siblings, Berniece Goins of Claremont, Kay Walker of Alabama, Woodrow Houser of Newton and Earl Houser of Alabama. He is also survived by two half-brothers and a half-sister.
