He was predeceased by: his parents, Marvin Eugene "Punk" Stout Sr. and Avenell Wood Stout. He is survived by: his wife Rebecca "Becky" Stout; his children, Greg Stout (Holly) and Amy Butler (Shannon) of Graham, NC.; and his brother Marvin Eugene Stout Jr..

In lieu of ﬂowers, memorials may be made to The Bethel Memorial Association of Snow Camp, NC, in care of Emily Coble, 4671 Thompson Mill Rd., Graham, NC 27253.
