He was predeceased by: his wife Margaret Marie Blaylock Newton; his parents, Marshall Whitmell Newton and Lettie Mae Frazier Newton; and his siblings, Margaret Louise Haynie (Austin) and Richard Stanfield (Lessie).
He is survived by: his children, Shelia Marie Crutchfield, Beverly Ann Turney (Ronnie), William M. Newton, Jr. (Diane), Richard Newton (Lisa) and Donald Lee Newton (JoAnn). He is also survived by numerous grandchildren, step-grandchildren, great grandchildren, step-great-grandchildren, and great great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be in honor of William M. "Bill" Newton, Sr. to Hico Baptist Church or a church of one's choice.
