She was predeceased by: her parents, James Franklin and Hannah Lou Horner Brooks; and her husband Charles "Chuck" Cagle. She is survived by: her daughter Kristen Alvarado (David) of Graham; her grandchildren, Cayden Alvarado and Savannah Alvarado; and her siblings, Hellen Ellington of Eli Whitney, Wanda Davis of New Bern, James Alvin Brooks (Peggy) and Jeff Brooks (Twink) of Saxapahaw. She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
