He was predeceased by: his wife Mary Elizabeth Keck Jones; his parent Otho V. "O. V."; his children, Elwanda Sue Jones and Vester Lee Jones, Jr.; and his brothers, Harrison Jones and Fred Jones.
He is survived by: his daughters, Vanessa J. Robertson (Doug) and Kristi J. Kicsak (Fred Jr); his grandchildren, Melissa May (Terry), Clint Sharpe, Neal Sharpe (Laura), Jessica Roach (Ronnie), Elena Priddy, Seth Priddy, Raven Hicks (Kevin) and Adam Robertson; his friend Helga Russell; and his half-sister Bernice Spears. He is also survived by thirteen great-grandchildren.
