It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Thomas Matkins (Graham, North Carolina), who passed away on May 12, 2020, at the age of 81, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Thomas Matkins to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Levi Carlton and Artie Faucette Matkins; and his spouse Blenda Pegram Matkins. He is survived by: his son James S. Matkins (Suzanne); his sister Artie "Marie" M. Barahona; his grandsons, Carlton, Robert, Steven, Andrew and Emanuel Matkins; and his daughters-in-law, Gail C. Matkins and Denise C. Matkins. He is also survived by his 3 great grandchildren.
In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters, Rosie Overcash and Ruby Welch and his loving sons, Howard Matkins and Carlton "Corky" Matkins. Due to the COVID-19 crisis services will be held at a late date at the People's Church in Mebane.
