He was predeceased by: his parents, Sam Monroe Smith and Hilda Burchell Smith. He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Reagan Smith; his children, Kristy S. Lynch (Justin) of Graham and Brad Smith of Graham; his stepchildren, Jennifer Manning (Chris) of Burlington and Paul Reagan (Meleisia) of Statesville; his grandchildren, Ava, Jaxon Lynch, Jordan Smith and Brooklyn Spencer; his stepgrandchildren, Jace Reagan, Noah Reagan, Christa Manning and Nathan Manning; his brother Sammy David Smith of Graham; and his niece Karrie Crowell (Jason) of Oak Island.
The family ask that if you choose to attend the service, please wear a mask and observe the COVID 19 protocol.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Brenner Children's Hospital, which was dear to his heart.
