Staton of Graham, NC; her stepdaughter Shequandra Fields of Wilmington, NC; her sons, Chris Lamont Strayhorn (Latanza) of Burlington, NC and William Thomas Strayhorn Jr. (Yvette) of Graham, NC; her stepsons, Reginald Fields of Goldsboro, NC and Joseph Monk (Bridgette) of Charlotte, NC; her siblings, Betty Staton of Burlington, NC, Sarah Strayhorn of Mebane, NC, Amanda Albright (Thomas) of Mebane, NC, Linda Staton of Burlington, NC, Jesse Staton, Clarissa Dowdy (Herman) of Moncure, NC, James "Buddy" Staton of Snow Camp, NC, Walter Goldston (Minister Cinder) of Sanford, NC, Steven Goldston (Virginia) of Pittsboro, NC and Rodney Goldston (Tabitha) of Hope Mills, NC; her goddaughters, Rochelle Vargas (Luis) of Mebane, NC and Mariah Vargas of Mebane, NC; and her close friend Francis Nickerson Richmond of Burlington, NC. She is also survived by grandchildren, relatives and friends.
