He was predeceased by: his parents, Howard Rogers and Mable York Rogers; his son Timothy D. "Tim" Rogers; and his siblings, Dolly Hudson, Mary Rudder and George Tucker.
He is survived by: his spouse Rita "Pat" Lassiter Rogers; his children, Tammie R. Isley (Ronnie) of Graham and Sam Rogers, Jr.; his wife Missy Rogers of Hillsborough; his sister Kay Parker (Lee) of Graham; and also Howard Rogers (Jaime) of Haw River. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.
