He is survived by: his wife Juli Huffman Barnes of Graham; his children, Tyler Barnes (Lindsey) of Charlotte and Elizabeth Thomas (Nick) of Texas; his father Samuel D Barnes of Graham; his sister T. J. Watson (Ashley) of Graham; his close friend Mary Helen Yehl of Burlington; his nephews, Hasten and Harrison Watson of Graham; and his pet Shaggy Due.
