She was predeceased by: her parents, Ernest Modlin and Mattie Forbis Modlin; her stepmother Callie Foust Modlin; her daughter Lola Gail Whitesell; and her siblings, Mabel Wrenn, Thelma Bright, Ed Modlin and Colonel Modlin.
She is survived by: her children, Sandra Wimbish (Tommy), Ann Rogers (John), Charles "Buddy" Whitesell (Karen), Terry Whitesell (Becky) and Tony Whitesell (Sherron); her grandchildren, Michelle Gindlesperger, Chad Wimbish (Jennifer), Guy Brantley, Christina, Catherine Whitesell (Jason), Casey Shotwell (Chris), Kelley and Cari Whitesell; her great grandchildren, Levi, Holton Shotwell, Owen, Stephen, Clara Wimbish and Katelin Gindlesperger; her sister Ruby Preston; and her friend Denise Harris. She is also survived by two step-granddaughters; two step-great-granddaughters.
