He was predeceased by: his parents, David Earle Finley and Gladys Sutherland Finley. He is survived by: his wife Donna T. Finley; his children, Robert E. Finley, Karen D. Finley and Richard E. Finley (Kathleen); his stepchildren, Heather Tate (Brad) and Eric Coffey (Deanna); his brothers, David E. Finley, Larry A. Finley, Joseph E. Finley, Thomas Richard Finley and James O. Finley; and also Steven J. Ament. He is also survived by 5 grandchildren and 9 step-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be made to Hospice and Palliative Care of Alamance-Caswell, 914 Chapel Hill Road, Burlington, NC 27215 or to the Eli Whitney Volunteer Fire Department, 7618 S. NC 87, Graham, NC 27253.
