He was loved and cherished by many people including: his wife Peggy Garner Bowman; his parents, Charles Bowman and Gladys Byrd Bowman; his children, Cindy Bowman of Durham and Tim Bowman (Michelle) of Graham; his grandchildren, Katelyn Bowman of Graham and Hailey Bowman of Graham; his great grandchildren, Sutton, Sammy and Amya; his siblings-in-law, Elizabeth Bowman of Mebane and Richard Garner of Toronto, Canada; his nieces and nephews, Kimberly Bowman Jones, Lori Bowman Flood, Emaly Garner, Cole Garner and Davis Garner; and his brother Charles Michael "Mike" Bowman.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
