She was predeceased by: her parents, Linwood Dix and Nannie Bell Jefferson Dix; her daughter Patricia Herron; and her siblings, Kathleen Dix, Onie Dodson, Ann Burke, James Dix, Dee Dix, Floyd Dix and Junior Dix.
She is survived by: her son James "Jimmy" Ball of Graham; and her siblings, Ruby King of Graham and Earl Dix (Judy) of Graham. She is also survived by three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to Tabernacle Baptist Church, 515 North Marshall Street, Graham, NC 27253.
