She was predeceased by: her parents, Oliver Strickland and Trecie Strickland; her husband Talton Buckner; her sister Jerri Scott; and her grandson Stephen Farlow.

She is survived by: her children, Terry Buckner (Donna), Kay Teague and Patty Farlow (Michael).

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Piedmont Rescue Mission in Burlington, NC.
