He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Oscar Brewington and Lessie Stewart Brewington; his wife Essie Kathleen Thornton Brewington; and his son Larry Gray Knight. He is survived by: his children, Laverne Martin of Mebane and William Monroe Knight (Kathy) of Hillsborough. He is also survived by sister; Beauty Lee Brewington of Godwin, NC, eight grandchildren and numerous great and great-great grandchildren.
