It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary Jo Scruggs Maynard (Graham, North Carolina), born in Memphis, Tennessee, who passed away on August 26, 2023, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, John Bridges Scruggs Jr. and Josephine Watson Scruggs; her daughter Carol Ann Maynard; and her brother John Bridges Scruggs III. She is survived by: her children, Gerald E. "Jack" Maynard III of Memphis, Lynn Collins (Wes) of Burlington and Alison Worden (Doug) of Thompson's Station, TN; her grandchildren, Gerald E. "Jerry" Maynard (Jenn), Camille Maynard, Joshua Maynard, Caroline Collins Roberts (John), Caitlin Collins Fischetti (Justin), Sam Collins, Tyler Worden and Leah Worden; her great grandchildren, Gerald E. "Evan" Maynard, Nicole Maynard, Jonah Roberts, Wes Roberts and Eva Fischetti; and also, Gerald Evans Maynard, Jr. and John.
