She is survived by: her daughter Mary Danea McKissack (John Paul); and her grandchildren, Amanda Lloyd (Shaun), Megan McKissack, John W. McKissack, Shea McKissack, Janel Brooks (Michael), Bradley Powell and Sean Powell (Ana). She is also survived by eleven great grandchildren.
