She was predeceased by: her parents, George Franklin and Lois Rogers Douglas; her husband Clayton Edgar Heffner Jr.; and her siblings, Catherine Cates, Anne Compton, Billy and George Douglas.
She is survived by: her daughter Camille Thomas; her grandchildren, Jon Andrew "Drew" Thomas (Brittany) and Candice C. Wynn (Billy); her great grandchildren, Rebekkah Wynn and Garrett Wynn; her son-in-law Edward Thomas; and her nieces, Kelly Gunter (Will) and Joyce Stophel (Jerry).
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Burlington Assembly of God at 821 Tucker St, Burlington, NC 27215.
