She was predeceased by: her husband James F. Brooks; her parents, Frank Horner and Nettie Wilson Horner; her grandson Jeremy R. Brooks; her great grandchild Tiffany Kuplent; and her siblings, Elizabeth H. Quakenbush, Mae H. Bradsher, Tiny Horner, Fannie H. Greeson, Dea Horner, Jeff Horner, Dorse Horner and Jesse Horner.
She is survived by: her children, Hellen B. Ellington, James Alvin Brooks (Peggy), Wanda B. Davis, Major Jeff Franklin Brooks (Twink) and Jinnie B. Cagle; and her grandchildren, Johnny, Tammie, Glinda, James Ray, Becky, April, Sybrina, Kristen, Jamie, Jeff Jr. and Jon. She is also survived by 19 great-grandchildren; 10 great-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
