He is survived by: his brother Wakefield Thompson (Sheila) of Durham; his children, Linson Thompson of Anchorage, AK, Bruce Thompson (Sharon) of Elgin, SC, Keith Thompson (Anita) of Burlington, NC and Kerry Thompson of Burlington, NC; and his grandchildren, Nicholas Thompson (Aimee), Fairren Edwards (Shawn), Matthew Thompson, Lauren Park (Kersty), Blaise Thompson, Khloe Thompson and Kyrie Russell. He is also survived by 7 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
