She was predeceased by: her parents, Robert Howell Cox and Agnes Latham Cox; her brother Robert Cox, Jr.; her husband Butch Heathcote; her son Bert Heathcote; her daughter-in-law April of Elon; her daughter Julie Joyce; her son-in-law Stan of Winston Salem; her grandchildren, Meghan Martin, Samantha Joyce, Lyndsey Heathcote and Brayden Heathcote; her great grandchild Macy Martin; and her siblings, Gloria Hopkins (Ken) and John Randall "Randy" Cox.
