He was predeceased by: his parents, Allen W. Pinkney, Sr. and Betty S. Pinkney; and his sister Marilyn P. McKnight. He is survived by: his wife Norene Pinkney; his children, Kermilya P. Simmons (Marcus) of Anderson, SC, Kermit Pinkney, Jr. of Liberty, NC, Nicola Lindsey of Winston-Salem, NC and Joy Allen of Winston-Salem, NC; and his siblings, Chlories P. Shore of Pfafftown, NC, Alene P. Wilkins (Nathan) of Clemmons, NC and Allen W. "Grubb" Pinkney, Jr. (Sharon) of Germanton, NC. He is also survived by grandchildren; many aunts, uncles, cousins, family members and friends.
