She was predeceased by: her husband Rev. David D. Carter; her parents, Robert Aubrey Eastwood and Annie Mae Massey Eastwood; her son Robert Aubrey Carter; her grandson Nicholas Byrd; and her sons-in-law, Silas Overbey and Larry Byrd.
She is survived by: her children, Judy Carter Overbey, Debbie Carter Byrd of Mebane, Angelia Carter Kendrick (Joey) of Graham and Steven Carter (Wendy) of McLeansville; and her siblings, Vertice Eastwood Holder of Graham, Shirley Webster of Elon, Mertice Eastwood of Burlington and Joel Eastwood of Burlington. She is also survived by six grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.
