He was predeceased by: his parents, John Vincent Gallagher, Sr. and Lois Massey Gallagher; and his former wife Janice Morris Gallagher. He is survived by: his wife Christine Ashley Gallagher; his son John "Buddy" Gallagher, IV (Kathy) of Graham; his stepchildren, James Jones (Sarah) of Wade, Richard Ashley of Wade, Jacob Dumin of Graham and Frankie "Scooby" Little (Vickie) of Burlington; his siblings, Katherine Gallagher of New Jersey, Mary Teresa Gallagher of Germany, Michelle Limerick Gill and Vincent John Gallagher of San Diego, California; his grandchildren, Daniel Dale Gallagher, Caitlin Newby Whitaker (Daniel), William Adams, Skyler Hostetter and Brandon Little; and his stepgrandchildren, Devon Ashley, Ayden Ashley, Ryan Jones and Kristin Jones. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
