James Warren Shankle Sr. Obituary
We are sad to announce that on August 4, 2018, at the age of 84, James Warren Shankle Sr. (Graham, North Carolina) passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry D. Shankle and Zetris Shankle; his brother Pete Shankle; and his former wife Jacqueline Cowan Shankle. He is survived by: his wife Barbara Shankle; his son James Warren Shankle II; his stepchildren, Michael Lessig (Janet), Craig Lessig (Charlotte) and Cynthia Arneson (Steve); his nephews, Pete Shankle Jr. and Henry D. Shankle; and his grandchildren, Heather, Stephen, Danielle and Haley.
In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to the Hospice and Palliative Care Center of Alamance-Caswell 914 Chapel Hill Rd. Burlington, NC 27215 or to the Children's Ministry of Efland United Methodist Church 3418 US Hwy 70 W, Efland, NC 27243.
