He is survived by: his spouse Peggy Allen Harden; his children, Cindy Ashby (Jay) of Elon, Shelby Callicutt (Steven) of Graham, Jeffery Harden (Linda) of Burlington and James Harden, III; his wife Kellie of Haw River; his stepchildren, Betty Aldridge of Hendersonville and Jerry Wright of South Carolina; and his sisters, Billie Sue Hornaday (Jerry) of Elon, Theda Jones (William) of Carolina and Brenda Watkins (James) of Reidsville. He is also survived by four grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren.
