It is with great sadness that we announce the death of James Clifton Strickland of Graham, North Carolina, who passed away on June 23, 2022, at the age of 79, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Thomas Edison Strickland and Cora Long Strickland; and his son James Christopher Strickland. He is survived by: his wife Sandra Loy Strickland; his children, Tiffany Strickland Murphy and Jeffrey Alan Strickland; his grandchildren, Megan Nicole Murphy, Alyssa Danielle Javadi (Kamran), Amanda Brooke Strickland, Christopher Jessie Strickland and Colton Thomas Strickland; his great grandchildren, Milyn, Cohen and Lemi; and his siblings, Marie Ireland, Ronald Strickland and Johnny Strickland.
