He was predeceased by: his parents, Sherman Calvin and Ruby Eason Barr; his wife Margie Ellen Cooper; and his sister Martha Louella Austin. He is survived by: his children, James David Barr (Amy) of Graham and Carol Anne Cormany (Kim) of Galax, VA; and his niece Linda Keahey of Montgomery, TX. He is also survived by 9 grandchildren, and 17 great-grandchildren.
