He was predeceased by: his wife Frances Smith Barrett; his parents, Curtis Barrett and Pearl Baker Barrett; his grandchildren, Brandi Barrett, David Barrett and Anna Brooks; his stepmother Wilma Barrett; and his siblings, Darrell Barrett, Cornelia Honeycutt, Jackie Davis and Patsy Davis.
He is survived by: his children, Tony Barrett (Jeanne) and Debbie Brooks (Tim); and his grandchildren, Scarlett Sykes (Travis), Valerie Caviness (Chris), Kim Moore (Ray), Troy Brooks (Alysha), Emily Brooks, Ashley Hodges (Justin), Hunter Clark, Chris Clark, Michael Clark and Bo Clark (Stephanie). He is also survived by 14 great grandchildren; and many loving nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Saturday, December 28th 2024 from 12:45 PM to 1:45 PM at the Moore's Chapel Baptist Church (5750 Church Rd, Graham, NC 27253). A funeral service was held on Saturday, December 28th 2024 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
